How To Earn More As a Freelancer
Becoming a Freelancer is hard, you may be struggling with finances or you may want to bring your freelance career to the next level. Either way, I can help you. I have been looking into the best skills to learn to increase your earning potential as a freelance artist after I asked myself why some Artists ask for 300$ per render and it seems like a steal and when others ask for 150$ it is a scam. At the end of the day, it can be split into 3 main differences, 1. High-Quality Clients, 2. Good Sales/Business Skills, and 3. Good Arch Viz Skills. In this newsletter, we will focus on the latter. So let's jump right in and discover how you can unlock your full potential in Arch Viz!
Big Announcement
Before we head into the list of skills you can learn to get paid more for less I wanted to let you know that the Future Frameworks Instagram is now up and running, but most importantly, I have gone in depth about this topic on our YouTube Channel (The Audio will be improved in the next couple of videos, I had some technical issues). This means that Future Frameworks is now officially online and it is more than just a weekly Newsletter. We are moving fast and on pace for our plan so make sure to stick with us and maintain the recent support.
In general, YouTube Videos will cover a specific topic and the Newsletter will contain special bonuses and in-depth information. Not only this but there might be some additional posts every now and then that will be similar to the ones published in the past. Now let’s get back to freelance!
The Best Skills To Increase Your Income
Over the last weeks, I have been looking into multiple freelancers and comparing them to one another, reading reviews, and watching videos where people gave their own tips. I found that these tips were the most asked for, the ones that got more positive reviews and the ones that had the largest impact on whether a client believed that your work was high quality or not.
This list shows all of them, the ones which I found to be the most important I mentioned in this week’s YouTube Video and went into depth on how you could improve and what benefits they could bring to your renders.
This table is split into 3 different columns, the first tells you the price that you could most likely increase your renders by if you mastered the skill (this may be different in some cases), the second tells us the skill and the third gives us the difficulty. Now all skills are focused towards Arch Viz so that’s why animations are in the easy category. Other skills like lighting and Composition can be easy but there are so many rules and they tend to need a lot of experimentation to really master the skills therefore they take a lot of time to master and become harder to adopt quickly. On the other hand skills such as Composition tests (different angles of the same scene so that the client can choose) and high-quality images are things you can change instantly and add a quick 5$ to your price.
Content Recommendation:
Some of the videos that helped me understand what architects look for were the videos that looked at multiple Fiverr artists, their work, and how their skills affected their pricing.
